Whining - “a complaining, long drawn wail as of a dog”, Whining—— “ a shrill sound of complaint”.
I read in Psychology Today that research suggests whining peaks between the age of 2 and 4 years old.
The sound of whining can be as uncomfortable as nails across a chalkboard. It gets someone’s attention. Whining can mean- “I can’t act big anymore”…..”Please take care of me like I was a baby”….
Chapter 11 shows us the children of Israel, along with the mixed races that came out of Egypt- they were complaining—— griping about the food they now had in the wilderness- Manna. Manna was food from heaven.
When we are dissatisfied —it comes from shifts in our attention. We look at what we don’t have rather than what we do have. Catch this equation- Complaining + Whining + Doubting =Rebellion= discipline or punishment.
Don’t let unfulfilled desires cause you to whine against God and forget the blessings and gifts He is already giving you. Next time we form our mouth to complain, let us do a praise shout instead! Quit whining and praise!! God is bigger than everything——His plan is for our good- so why do we complain?? We have much to be grateful for..........Let‘s count our blessings and “name them one by one. Let’s stop whining!!
