Scripture- Luke 2:1-14
Preacher- Minister Adrianne Robinson
Wow-we are more than ½ way thru this year…And it is the season of summer—-these days are hot and humid. With that said, I just wanna say- Merry Christmas y’all!!!
Some theologians argue that the most probable time for His birth occurred between September 16 and 29. Others would say Jesus' birth was in the spring or early fall. And traditionally, in the United States, the birth of Christ is celebrated December 25. And traditionally we see the commercialization of Christmas right around Halloween…..in October.
We should not limit ourselves to only one season…..we should not limit ourselves to only one month…..we should not limit ourselves to even only one day to celebrate the greatest gift ever given… And that gift is —-salvation. Jesus is the one and only name that saves. He gives us the gift of salvation.
Yes the weather outside isn’t frightful….there is no need for a fire that’s delightful……so- it’s the perfect time of year to celebrate our Savior!
