"Don't Lose Focus"

Scripture- Micah 7:7

There will be times along our journey that stuff will come which will try and throw us off course and cause us to lose focus. The country just went through a 42 day shutdown. This was a time when some of us could not lose our focus.

It's in those (and these) times, we need to keep our focus on what is important. And that is Jesus! How do we maintain our focus?-

1. Pray
2. Read the Bible
3. Worship
4. Hold onto your faith

Family- we can't get complacent. Don't get lazy. Don't lose focus.

When we focus on God- it will shift our circumstances and increase our praise.

God is saying to us "ALL EYES ON ME"!

Amen!!

"We Can't Go Back"

Scripture- Numbers 14:3-4

There is a psychological phenomenon where one who has been oppressed defends their oppressor.

Sometimes, like the Israelites we read about in today's scripture- we experience "spiritual amnesia". We want to go back to the things we were delivered from. For some reason, we find comfort in the the things we should have left behind. We want to "break-up" with God when we don't get our way.

Beloved, we need to remember all those mountains that God got us over! We are to "taste and see that the Lord is good..."!

Whatever is going on around you- still trust God and do not look back. The song says- "I've come too far to turn back now...".

"There is no need to Fear"

Scripture- 1 Samuel 16:1-2

Fear does not discriminate. Everyday we face things and situations that cause us to fear- medical, financial, emotional or failures.

But God, thru His Word- encourages us the He did not give us a "spirit of fear...." (2 Timothy 1:7). And why do we need not to fear---because God will equip and supply all we need. And why do we need not fear-- because of what He tells us in Jeremiah 29:11.

Beloved- fear is a tool of the enemy. Hold onto God's unchanging hand and remember there is no need to fear!!
